weekend stuff.

friday saw spiderman 2. enjoyed. then again, i'm good at ignoring small children. mgg was a boiling... thing. full of rage.

saturday, went down to her parents', for molly's birthday. had water ice. which was good. went to the teahouse in Medford (mulberry tearooms) with kt, mgg and their mom.

i need more branston pickle and cheddar. and stilton is really good. and i liked the assam.

had the talk, alerted the inlaws, then came back up to new brunswick.

sunday, we got up, watched some movies, and officially started the Halloween in July countdown (25 days, by the way)

we watched "The Irrefutable Truth About Demons", which brought back memories of the filthy apartment in flemington, coming home exhausted to find a fucking waste of meat watching the movie again, probably for the third time that day. entertaining movie, though. and i like new zealand accents.

gratuitous sex is good too.

then we figured out what the theme was: "people doing things they shouldn't do"
then we watched The Craft.

with mocking. and, well, yeah. that's maybe five times now, and i think i'll leave it that way.

then we watched Stigmata, which i enjoyed, although i like the alternate version better.

it was still really early, so we watched shadow of the vampire. well, i watched. mgg fell asleep. then it was 6ish. oh, and shadow fit well with the theme.

at this point, we drove down to south jersey to visit Tab and Kim, who are wonderful people who i don't visit enough. we picked blueberries off their bushes, i got to hold chickens, which always cheers me up, and then we blew up stuff. Tab had four of the 2 inch mortar type fireworks tubes, and about 50 shells, so we set those off. which was nice. well, mostly. one shell exploded about six inches up, which was frightening. exhilarating too. another one simply blew up inside the tube, again spraying us with sparks, but in the process also popping the bottom out of the tube.

and one shell launched but did not explode.

i really wish i had spent more time with Tab and Kim when i was in New Jersey. because at this point, i've loosed my moorings, i live nowhere. soon i will live in colorado, but not yet. now, i cannot be in jersey, because i'm about to leave.

i think that's my least favorite part of moving. the last month, when you don't live anywhere.
