okay, so i had to change my password for my eden account, right? which, y'know, bother, but not huge. then i got kerbshelled on the work account. so, well, fixed that too. here is the funny bit. oh. now i know why. i have an rci account. and that has the old password. okay. less confused now. see, i can sign into a mac, but only with the old password, because it checks rci first. if i'm using a shell to check my mail, i need the new one. for both eden and nbcs.

it's just a bit more complicated than i'd like.
